    Merida Collective Magazine

This magazine was created for people rethinking success, rest, family, and belonging. Each issue documents real life as it unfolds: community dinners, mutual aid, cultural traditions, creative work, conflict, care, and the often unseen labor of holding people together without losing yourself.

Mérida Collective Magazine is a community-rooted publication created by Salaama Journey, a Black, neurodivergent immigrant mother building life and chosen family in Mérida, Mexico. It centers Black, Brown, and LGBTQ+ people navigating parenting, partnership, creativity, spirituality, and survival beyond the grind and isolation many of us were handed.

The magazine reflects the rhythms of the Mérida Collective and the people shaping it in real time.
